"There is something about working together to achieve goals and getting to see results. That's something that everyone can share, experience, and be a part of"
Name someone who inspires you.
I would say my dad. He is a very hard worker. He didn't come from everything. He found a way to work with what he had and what he started with to
become successful.
Tell me about a favorite memory of yours.
I enjoyed visiting Japan. I had never been outside of the country before. It was a really eye opening experience going into another country and learning about the culture. Everybody seems to have a drive or motivation to do something. Even the younger kids that you see there. You could see some going to school alone like on a bus or going to school on the train alone and things like that you don't really see here in the U.S. because it would be considered unsafe and for a variety of reasons.
What do you think about school right now?
School. As far as the work that I put in, I see it as a grind. The end goal is definitely something that I feel is necessary. That end goal; to put in the work that I do now to get good grades. This is so then later I can apply to colleges that I want to go to. My next phase is putting in the necessary work and putting in sufficient time and effort. It is kind of like my duty to myself so that later my goals can be reached.
What does community look like in your eyes?
Community to me is something where everybody involved should be cared for. A lot of the activities that I am involved in like cross country, track and field, or robotics are examples of my community. I feel like I am a part of it because I put a lot of work into all of these things. Everybody else in the community puts in a lot of effort as well. There is something about working together to achieve goals and getting to see results. That's something that everyone can share, experience, and be a part of.
