"We are all doing our very best and we're all in it together!"

What has changed in your life for you and your family during this pandemic?

I would say both mental health and physical health have both become extremely apparent parts of my life and the lives of my family members. The pandemic created challenges both physically and mentally for just about everyone I know, so staying as healthy as possible, trying to find balance between getting outside, exercising and doing activities that make us happy have been stressed ever since the beginning of the pandemic.

How do you think COVID has changed the world as a whole?

I think COVID has changed the world both for the better and for the worst. For obvious reasons, the COVID-19 pandemic brought many hardships and struggles to families all around the world. People were faced with extremely difficult challenges and even lost family and friends, which is extremely heartbreaking. However, I believe that the pandemic shed a new light on the importance of mental health, and connection over distance. I have reconnected with old friends since the beginning of COVID, doing my best to make sure everyone in my life was okay. We are all doing our very best and we're all in it together!

How have you been taking care of your mental and overall health?

I take care of my mental health in many different ways. I have multiple outlets in my life that help me exercise healthy living, both physically and mentally. Dance is an extremely important part of my life which helps me free my mind, express myself and also get some exercise! I would say dance is one of the biggest reasons as to why my mental health has gotten better since the beginning of the pandemic.

How do you think that this pandemic will affect your future?

This pandemic gave me a newfound appreciation for the importance of balance, exercise, mental health, and physical health. In my life now since the pandemic began and in my future, I will be more mindful of how I can improve my mental and physical health, and keep my family, friends, and I as safe as possible!

Why do you think it's important to have human interactions with each other?

I feel that it's important to have human interaction to ensure that we are keeping up our mental and social health, and so we do not become too secluded and withdrawn from the world.
